Why did you elope instead of having a traditional wedding?

We chose to elope because we really wanted the moment to be about us and our commitment to each other, without the pressure or expectations that can come with a big wedding. It also made a big difference financially. Instead of putting a lot of money toward one day, we're able to put those resources toward building our life together, which felt more meaningful for us.

Was this planned for a long time or spontaneous?

This has been a year in the making! We decided to elope quite a while ago, but the actual planning of the elopement took some time. Although we would not have a full-on wedding, we still wanted the elopement to be detailed and well-planned out!

Did you ever consider having a big ceremony?

We did! And then we looked up the cost of a typical venue and thought, absolutely not!

Did you tell any family members about your plans? Why or why not?

Nope! We may have hinted here and there about the possibility of us just running away together, but none of our family was made aware of the actual planned elopement. We did this so that it would be a surprise (no favorites here!).

Why did you elope in Colorado?

We thought about running away to Las Vegas, too, don't get me wrong, but Colorado is actually full of elopement planners with better venue spots (aka the mountains)!

Will you have a celebration / reception at some point?

Yes! The plan is to first work on moving out of our 650sqft apartment and into a home of our own! We may even have a reception / home-warming party, all in one. We haven't decided on anything specific yet, but are aiming for Summer 2027 for the celebration!

Where can I find the details about your big day?

You can learn all about our adventure getting hitched on this website! Checkout "Our Story" and the "Photos" sections to learn more about the ceremony and see us on our big day!
